Joseph Neely's Project
My project was to build a deer stand for handicapped hunters. Mr. Ernie Lentz, a ranger
with the Corps of Engineers at Arkabutla Lake, requested this project of me. The stand is
large enough to drive a 4-wheeler into. It has a 24-inch high shooting window on all 4 sides
and pitched roof to help protect the hunter from the elements. It was completed on December
2nd, 2000 and was used the following week during the annual handicapped hunt at Arkabutla.
